Good news for the eCoast!!  According to the eCoast Monitor New Hampshire is the first New England state poised to come out of the recession, and over 48% of eCoast companies plan to grow and hire new employees in the next year.

The eCoast Monitor is a semi-annual index about technology businesses in our region.  The Monitor measures both statistical and empirical data.  Statistical data has been compiled by Professor Ross Gittell of the UNH Whittemore School of Business and will include such data as job growth, number of gazelle firms, and amount of venture capital investment. 

The empirical data has been collected by the Taylor Research and Consulting Group and will include CEO confidence, anticipated plans for expansion, and other information collected by surveys.

The first edition of the eCoast Monitor was unveiled at the TechConnect event on Nov. 13, 2002 at the Frank Jones Center in Portsmouth.
