The
Greater Portsmouth Chamber eCoast Technology Roundtable invites members
of the New England hi-tech community to hop on board for its annual
eCruise set for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., July 16 (Boarding starts at 5 p.m.).
The cruise, underwritten by the South East England Development Agency,
will leave port from the Isles of Shoals Steamship Company docks
at 315 Market St. in Portsmouth.
The cruise was designed as a summer mixer for high-tech companies in
the Greater Seacoast area and has regularly attracted more than 300
eCruisers in past years who jump aboard to enjoy an evening of networking,
great food and entertainment on the water. This year a number of New
England hi-tech associations have been invited to the event including
the NH High-Tech Council, Software Association of NH and the
NH Bio/Medical Council amoung others. The evening's activities
will also feature a raffle featuring doorprizes contributed by
cruise sponsors. The first 100 cruisers to register will also get a
goodie bag filled with tech-related promotional items.
Some
of the raffle prizes include an Asus Netbook courtesy of Best Buy
for Business, an email marketing template (includes design, writing,
code and a Constant Contact account), courtesy of Vital Design;
a sunset paddle for four courtesy of Portsmouth Kayak Adventures
and more.
Sponsor
opportunities are still available for the eCruise. Benefits include
complimentary tickets, promotional recognition and the opportunity to
distribute marketing materials and promotional items to eCruisers. To

Cost
of the eCruise is $25 per person which includes passage, heavy hors
d'oeuvres served up by Galley Hatch Catering, one ticket for the raffle
drawing and a cash bar. Attendees should also know that parking on site
at the Isles of Shoals Steamship Company will be $4 per vehicle for
the cruise. There are two-hour parking meters in and around the venue
(if you check in just after 5 p.m. and put two hours on the meter you'll
be good to go), and it's a short walk to the city parking garage where
the fee is 75 cents per hour.
